BRACE Award Venture Competitions must be conducted entirely in English.

Application for the BRACE Award Venture Competition consists of three parts (general questionnaire fields, a presentation deck summarizing a business plan and a brief video), each of which must be completed and submitted before the application deadline—and that will remain confidential. The application cut-off date for the 2021 BRACE Award Venture Competition will be Tuesday, 15 June 2021, at 11:59 PM Hong Kong Time.

Submitted applications for scheduled BRACE Award Venture Competitions will be reviewed by AFCR personnel. Approved submissions will be required to, at a minimum, demonstrate cancer mitigation technology, business potential and professionalism. Among approved applications, a highly qualified selection committee will determine BRACE Award Venture Competition semi-finalists based on the overall quality of responses. These semi-finalists will be announced over two weeks before the event itself by e-mail communication to all approved applicants and online to the general public.

Among semi-finalists who are invited to participate in the final pitch competition, 30 minutes will be allocated per applicant project, including segue and the judging committee feedback and questioning periods, and visual presentations (PowerPoint or PDF) will be required. Event details, including logistics, on the current BRACE Award Venture Competition can be found here.

If the online application is not appearing in your browser below, please e-mail AFCR Senior Director Bradley Gillenwater at BGillenwater@AFCR.org to request a PDF version, and he will respond within 24 hours.
