Science can help your New Year’s resolutions stick

We’re all creatures of habit. And at this time each year many of us make, and then quickly break, New Year’s resolutions to be healthier. But where are we going wrong? Could behavioural science help us make better resolutions, and stick to them? Cancer Research UK asked Dr Becca Beeken, senior research associate at UCL, what science says about boosting the chance of living more healthily in 2017 and beyond.
