Orange is the color associated with kidney cancer, which Assumption tennis coach and athletic director Sydney Acosta was diagnosed with in 2010. Acosta, who is in his 29th season with the Mustangs, had a portion of his kidney removed during the summer of 2010 and has since recovered. Assumption's tennis teams have hosted the charity event in honor of their coach since 2011. Acosta said they have raised nearly $40,000 for the kidney-cancer research over the last six years.
