Breast and ovarian cancer drug effective in advanced prostate cancer

Cancer drug olaparib, originally licensed to treat some breast and ovarian cancers have been found to be effective in treating some men with advanced prostate cancer. The drug is designed to take advantage of a weakness in some prostate cancers’ability to prepare damaged DNA.
