AFCR Symposium at BIOHK2026

The Asian Fund for Cancer Research Limited (AFCR) will host “Cell and Gene Therapy Forum 2: Clinical Progress & Regulatory Innovation” at BIOHK2026 on Thursday, 10 September 2026.

Chaired by AFCR President & CEO and Founder Dr. Sujuan Ba, the symposium will bring together experts to discuss the latest clinical progress in cell and gene therapies, as well as the evolving regulatory landscape shaping their development and translation.

The session will provide a platform for experts to exchange insights on scientific progress, clinical development, and regulatory innovation in this rapidly advancing field.

AFCR Award/Events Showcase

AFCR proudly highlights a diverse range of programs dedicated to advancing cancer research and innovation worldwide. These initiatives not only emphasize AFCR's commitment to fostering groundbreaking cancer discoveries but also aim to create opportunities for young scientists and entrepreneurs.

AFCR is proud to present the BRACE Award, Bridging Research from Academia to Cancer Entrepreneurship. The BRACE Award aims to provide vital support to early-stage biotechs, enabling them to accelerate their innovative therapeutics, diagnostics and cancer prevention products into the clinic, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes for patients affected by cancer globally.

The Asian Fund for Cancer Research, National Foundation for Cancer Research, and AIM-HI Accelerator Fund will co-host a content-rich event celebrating cancer research discoveries and the impact of oncology innovation. Featured Programs include New Frontiers in Cancer Research, Women’s Leadership Award Ceremony, and Szent-Györgyi Prize Award Ceremony.

Chinese researchers and physicians are being increasingly recognized for making significant contributions which advance biomedical science, including cancer research in China and throughout the world. The Asian Fund for Cancer Research and the US Chinese Anti-Cancer Association have since 2010 jointly awarded outstanding Chinese cancer researchers in the early stages of their careers with the USCACA-AFCR Young Investigator Award.
