News digest – Tobacco strategy, cancer survival, HPV jab and boys, and finally… John McCain diagnosed with cancer

John McCain has been diagnosed with cancer. This week's number is 8, which is the ranking of UK for lowest in Europe for cancer patients surviving 5 years after diagnosis.
