In Franklin County, one Shippensburg University student is a testicular cancer survivor who has been sharing his story as a way to raise awareness. Jason Greenspan is a senior at Shippensburg University, but is also a testicular cancer survivor. “In May of 2012, I was 18, it was right before my prom and graduation and I was just sitting on the couch watching television and had a simple itch and that itch ended up being the most important itch of my life,” said Greenspan. He was diagnosed with stage two testicular cancer. He had to undergo surgery to have his left testicle removed.  He is now cancer free and says it is 99 percent beatable if detected early. The experience he says has changed his out look on life.
