The Asian Fund for Cancer Research is proud to announce the top two finalists resulting from our just-concluded 2020 BRACE Award Venture Competition: Albatroz Therapeutics Scientific Founder & CEO Frederic Bard, Ph.D., and Arbele Chief Development Officer Dennis Wong, M.D.
Both companies are developing innovative technologies that could lead to life-saving oncology products. Upon due diligence and discussions, AFCR will invest HK$2,000,000 into one of these innovators—seed money for the start-up to generate data for proof of concept and proof of value, on the path to clinical trials and, eventually, to new effective products that could save cancer patients’ lives.
Additionally, the public has selected the Best Public Communicator from among video clips of the event’s seven semi-finalists. The winner is BP InnoMed and its co-founder and chief scientific officer, Hong-Lok Lung, Ph.D.
